FashionKind is an incredible website and online business created by Nina Farran (learn about her here! She’s incredible). You can use it to support businesses that are working towards sustainability, either by looking at a traditional online catalog (women, accessories, etc.) or by looking through catalogs curated based on what they support. These categories include anti-slavery, sustainability, lgbt rights, women’s empowerment and many more.
Heres a couple goodies that I found:
“The Brave Collection works with Cambodian artisans who come from underprivileged backgrounds or suffer from disabilities. Each piece is hand carved or woven, and 10% of the company’s profits are donated to fight human trafficking in Cambodia.”
“Mola Sasa bags are made from traditional Mola fabrics sourced from indigenous cooperatives in the Northern Regions of Colombia and Panama. Each bag is hand-crafted by local artisan women, preserving and encouraging their traditional methods.”
“Each pair of Sydney Brown shoes is consciously constructed free of animal products and handmade by artisans in LA from eco-friendly materials such as coconut insoles, recycled and sustainable uppers, and reclaimed wooden soles, aiming to create every pair of shoes with a ‘cradle to cradle’ life cycle.”
